about us

Welcome to New Jersey’s best kept secret, the beautiful Island of Brigantine Beach!

THE ISLAND

Brigantine Beach is a unique barrier island located just four miles north of exciting Atlantic City.  The natural beauty of expansive beaches blends peacefully with the quality of life found in the surrounding neighborhoods.  What makes Brigantine Beach truly unique is the relaxed family oriented lifestyle found so near the bustle and excitement of Atlantic City, Philadelphia and New York City.

Brigantine Beach is a place where “Fun in the Sun” is a natural way of life!  The miles of coastal shoreline, inlets, coves and bays are ideal for summer sports ent

husiasts.  Brigantine Beach is an ideal spot for sport fishing, water skiing, and wind surfing, or just strolling the beach and enjoying the scenic beauty of a sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.

ISLAND ACTIVITIES

For more organized sports fans, Brigantine Beach hosts New Jersey’s best “Scottish Links” golf course, the only true links style golf available in New Jersey.  Brigantine Golf Links is a championship 18 hole par 72 layout where the wind will challenge every shot.  The course offers daily rates, group rates, lessons and membership.  Tennis anyone?  There are eight lighted courts on the island for a quick set of doubles before heading to the beach.  If fishing is your sport of choice, there are daily charters for bay fishermen or deep sea charters for the more adventurous angler.  Boat rentals and jet skis are available at several marinas across the island or bring your own and launch it at the public dock.

WHAT TO SEE

Brigantine Beach is especially proud to be home base for the nationally renowned Marine Mammal Stranding Center.  The Center has been instrumental in saving thousands of stranded dolphins, whales, seals and other marine life.  You never know what guest will be swimming around when you visit.  Located next door to the local museum makes for a great day of educational fun for the entire family.  No nature lover would want to miss a walk through the North End beach right across the bay from the National Forsthye Bird Reserve.  The sensitive dune and eco systems demand respect and instill a sense of awe for the unspoiled surroundings of coastal life.  This area is a migratory route for monarch butterflies, home to the endangered Piping Plover and Terrapin Turtle.  Bring your binoculars and you may catch a glimpse of the sly red fox!
